No Christian should ever tell a fellow believer, "I am not your servant!" This attitude is in opposition to Christ's teachings and the essence of the gospel. So, how should we then serve others? In this message, I want us to consider the necessity of learning to be patient with our faltering brethren and to handle their infirmities with grace.
If you knew you would soon die, what you would do differently? Why not seek God’s grace to change today?
God has never promised his redeemed people that they will be immune from suffering, but He has declared that the splendor of heaven will overshadow all of our earthly suffering.
We are living in perilous times. But even in the midst of utter darkness, are you prepared to stand out and shine as a brilliant light?
This sermon was given at a worship service on Sunday at the Zana Community Church in Kampala, Uganda. The church had a special Sunday service to celebrate the children that God has given us. All the Sunday service activities were led by children. In this sermon, entitled "A Family Code of Conduct," which was given on this occasion, we will look at the basics of Christian parenting, what the Bible says about how children should act toward their parents, and how parents should treat their children.
How much do you care about what Jesus has to say? Do you spend time with him each day, sitting at his feet, reading the Bible, quietly listening to him as he speaks to you through his word and speaking to him through prayer? Do you fail to find time to read your Bible and pray claiming that you are too busy with "many things"? ❝If you are too busy to pray, you are busier than God wants you to be.❞ — Wanda E. Brunstetter
This is a sermon against racism, nepotism, tribalism and other forms of self-centred scandals that have adversely affected the church in Africa.
Someone once said that "Experience is the best teacher, but its tuition is costly!" If you've sinned, don't be stubborn and persist in your sin because you will end up paying the high price of learning from your mistakes. Instead, learn from King Solomon's blunders and reject to sin stubbornly. Don't repent like Solomon. Rather, repent like David and ask the Lord's forgiveness for your own sins.
Warning from Luke 10:38–42 about not letting distractions keep us from connecting with Jesus.
